This abstract piece of blues, purples, and silvery grays was created using a variety of digital painting techniques. The result is the image you see here. I've struggled in coming up with a title. The image is explosive, but not violent. It can be a blueberry -- or a neural or synapse connection -- or anything else one might interpret in this complex image.

I am a Cincinnati, Ohio based artist. I work in vitreous enamel, painting, and photography. My art is improvisational. Like jazz music, it requires expertise but also fluidity and experimentation. And as a feminist who believes, following Audre Lorde, that Poetry is not a Luxury, I see artistic self-expression as a way to be human and whole. Creating works of art and photography offers me an opportunity to give shape to my place in the world. The work I do is quite diverse as my interests are diverse. My art has been exhibited in several juried exhibits in museums and galleries around the country.
