The sun is setting behind the bridge. On the bank of the Ohio River, a family is feeding geese and ducks. The Roebling bridge spans the river between Covington, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio. The suspension bridge was completed in 1866. The Brooklyn Bridge, also by Roebling, was based on this design and built 17 years later.

I am a Cincinnati, Ohio based artist. I work in vitreous enamel, painting, and photography. My art is improvisational. Like jazz music, it requires expertise but also fluidity and experimentation. And as a feminist who believes, following Audre Lorde, that Poetry is not a Luxury, I see artistic self-expression as a way to be human and whole. Creating works of art and photography offers me an opportunity to give shape to my place in the world. The work I do is quite diverse as my interests are diverse. My art has been exhibited in several juried exhibits in museums and galleries around the country.
