This abstract piece was digitally painted as an act of improvisation -- as are most of my painted and digitally created works. For this piece, different shades of blue, muted green, maroon, and brown were used with varying textures. I would recommend using the zoom tool to look at the details of the painting.

I am a Cincinnati, Ohio based artist. I work in vitreous enamel, painting, and photography. My art is improvisational. Like jazz music, it requires expertise but also fluidity and experimentation. And as a feminist who believes, following Audre Lorde, that Poetry is not a Luxury, I see artistic self-expression as a way to be human and whole. Creating works of art and photography offers me an opportunity to give shape to my place in the world. The work I do is quite diverse as my interests are diverse. My art has been exhibited in several juried exhibits in museums and galleries around the country.
