This abstract work is a panoramic improvisation in shades of yellow and grey. Though nonobjective, the result is something inspired by the sun. It has textures and details that are best seen with the zoom tool.
We all experience difficulties and hard times, but the sun shines on. As the John Lennon song says, "We all shine on, like the moon and the stars and the sun"
About Bentley Davis
I am a Cincinnati, Ohio based artist. I work in vitreous enamel, painting, and photography. My art is improvisational. Like jazz music, it requires expertise but also fluidity and experimentation. And as a feminist who believes, following Audre Lorde, that Poetry is not a Luxury, I see artistic self-expression as a way to be human and whole. Creating works of art and photography offers me an opportunity to give shape to my place in the world. The work I do is quite diverse as my interests are diverse. My art has been exhibited in several juried exhibits in museums and galleries around the country.
