Artist's Description
Yes! That is what I saw once this improvisational study in earth tone colors was close to being finished. The pointillist design is quite abstract, but it resembles a child or person with their hands up as if cheering or doing a happy dance. It also looks like a toddler with outstretched arms asking to be held. An abstract digital painting made with dots and paint splatter, it is primarily in shades of brown and green.
About Bentley Davis
I am a Cincinnati, Ohio based artist. I work in vitreous enamel, painting, and photography. My art is improvisational. Like jazz music, it requires expertise but also fluidity and experimentation. And as a feminist who believes, following Audre Lorde, that Poetry is not a Luxury, I see artistic self-expression as a way to be human and whole. Creating works of art and photography offers me an opportunity to give shape to my place in the world. The work I do is quite diverse as my interests are diverse. My art has been exhibited in several juried exhibits in museums and galleries around the country.
