Artist's Description

The town of Mariemont, Ohio is filled with Tudor revival style architecture, most of which was constructed in the 1920s. This building, however, is an example of Tudor Revival Revival -- having just been built. It has a semi-circular tower of split timber and stucco and bow windows.

About Bentley Davis

Bentley Davis

I am a Cincinnati, Ohio based artist. I work in vitreous enamel, painting, and photography. My art is improvisational. Like jazz music, it requires expertise but also fluidity and experimentation. And as a feminist who believes, following Audre Lorde, that Poetry is not a Luxury, I see artistic self-expression as a way to be human and whole. Creating works of art and photography offers me an opportunity to give shape to my place in the world. The work I do is quite diverse as my interests are diverse. My art has been exhibited in several juried exhibits in museums and galleries around the country.
