The Blind Lemon is a well-loved drinking establishment in Cincinnati, Ohio that has been in operation for about 60 years. It was once my father's favorite spot for an evening nightcap (and many far more famous than my dad have raised a glass there as well). Set downstairs, it is cozy with a neighborhood feel.
I am a Cincinnati, Ohio based artist. I work in vitreous enamel, painting, and photography. My art is improvisational. Like jazz music, it requires expertise but also fluidity and experimentation. And as a feminist who believes, following Audre Lorde, that Poetry is not a Luxury, I see artistic self-expression as a way to be human and whole. Creating works of art and photography offers me an opportunity to give shape to my place in the world. The work I do is quite diverse as my interests are diverse. My art has been exhibited in several juried exhibits in museums and galleries around the country.
