This abstract work is a black circle with a streaked off-white diagonal and colors of green, pink, blue, teal, and purple.
This piece was created using vitreous enamel on steel. The process required multiple firings of ground glass on metal in a kiln at 1450 degrees.
This image has then been mounted on a square grey background. If you prefer a different color for the background, please contact me.
I am a Cincinnati, Ohio based artist. I work in vitreous enamel, painting, and photography. My art is improvisational. Like jazz music, it requires expertise but also fluidity and experimentation. And as a feminist who believes, following Audre Lorde, that Poetry is not a Luxury, I see artistic self-expression as a way to be human and whole. Creating works of art and photography offers me an opportunity to give shape to my place in the world. The work I do is quite diverse as my interests are diverse. My art has been exhibited in several juried exhibits in museums and galleries around the country.
