This photograph is of one of the many windows in Cincinnati's Music Hall. The building was constructed in 1878 and was designed by Samuel Hannaford. Home to the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Cincinnati Opera, this Victorian Gothic Revival landmark exhibits exquisite craftsmanship and attention to details -- details often overlooked. Here, the window has arched brickwork reminiscent of piano keys and sandstone carvings on either side of sunflowers.

I am a Cincinnati, Ohio based artist. I work in vitreous enamel, painting, and photography. My art is improvisational. Like jazz music, it requires expertise but also fluidity and experimentation. And as a feminist who believes, following Audre Lorde, that Poetry is not a Luxury, I see artistic self-expression as a way to be human and whole. Creating works of art and photography offers me an opportunity to give shape to my place in the world. The work I do is quite diverse as my interests are diverse. My art has been exhibited in several juried exhibits in museums and galleries around the country.
