"Sing the Queen City" is a public art sculpture in Cincinnati, Ohio to celebrate the city's strong music scene. It is in the park in front of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. To the side is a modern building reflecting other buildings in f the downtown area.
I am a Cincinnati, Ohio based artist. I work in vitreous enamel, painting, and photography. My art is improvisational. Like jazz music, it requires expertise but also fluidity and experimentation. And as a feminist who believes, following Audre Lorde, that Poetry is not a Luxury, I see artistic self-expression as a way to be human and whole. Creating works of art and photography offers me an opportunity to give shape to my place in the world. The work I do is quite diverse as my interests are diverse. My art has been exhibited in several juried exhibits in museums and galleries around the country.
